CARE GUIDE: YOUR S.U.I.T. IS DESIGNED TO LAST A LIFETIME

We want you to enjoy wearing your LIV|VIE S.U.I.T. for as long as possible. So, treat your S.U.I.T. kindly and with the right fabric care that will help them last.

DRY-CLEAN OR OLD-FASHIONED HAND WASH

Dry clean or wash your S.U.I.T. by hand, using only gentle, environmentally friendly laundry

detergent designed for delicate fabrics. Wash inside out.at a low temperature, we suggest no higher than 30°. Leaving silk in water can result in a loss of shine so immerse in water for a short time only. Avoid rubbing or wringing out the fabric.

DRY FLAT IN THE SHADE

When drying, do not wring or use a tumble dryer. Instead, lay your S.U.I.T. flat and allow to dry naturally in the shade. Drying flat on a horizontal surface will avoid the fitting of the S.U.I.T. and the seams at the shoulders to be damaged by the weight of the water.

Avoid direct sunlight while drying to avoid colour changes.

GARMENT STEAMER AT LOW TEMPERATURE

Preferably use a garment steamer to remove wrinkles from your silk LIV|VIE S.U.I.T.

When completely dry, hang up your S.U.I.T. using a wide shoulder hanger for your S.U.I.T. blouse and a clamping hanger for you S.U.I.T. trousers. Clamping hangers consist of two horizontal bars that pull together. They are ideal for your S.U.I.T. trousers because they will not damage the elastics at your waist or ankles, depending on how you choose to hang up your S.U.I.T. trousers. Please consider FSC certified wooden hangers instead of plastic alternatives for maximum support and a sustainable perspective.

Wait for your steamer to heat up completely to avoid water droplets to stain your S.U.I.T.

While steaming, avoid burning or damaging the natural fibre and elasticity of the silk by keeping the steamer at a slight distance of the fabric, and avoid steaming in one place of fabric for too long. To avoid damaging embellishments or prints, steam the S.U.I.T. inside out. When using a steam iron, make sure to set your iron at the lowest temperature and place a (damp) natural cloth or muslin between the garment and the iron. For extra safety, also turn your S.U.I.T. inside out. Don’t press your iron heavily onto the fabric, don’t iron in one place for too long and avoid excessive use of steam.

It is always safer to use a garment steamer! Garment streamers are always a better choice for removing wrinkles from thinner fabrics, materials with embellishments and are a flexible option for refreshing and quick touch-up
